WHAT IS A FIELD PERIOD?

Field Period is "An annual, self-designed experience that gives students a chance to explore their interests and can be an internship, observation, cultural experience, community service project, artistic endeavor or spiritual-based exploration." We are given the opportunity to complete 120 hours of on-site learning per year, totaling approximately 600 hours of experience by the time I graduate.  I will be completing four to five field periods, about one for each year of my studies.
